The Halal Guys opening Lee Drive restaurant near LSU

The Halal Guys, a chain that got its start in the 1990s as a food cart in New York City, plans to open a restaurant serving chicken and gyro combo platters near LSU. The opening at 320 Lee Drive is set for Oct. 20, said Logan Trotter, a partner in TMJ Group, the Lafayette-based company developing the franchise in Louisiana. This is the chain’s first location in Baton Rouge. It has three restaurants in New Orleans and one in Shreveport.
